about

Michael Van BurgerMichael started photographing the Empire State Building as a hobby in 2003. Since then he’s taken his trusty camera to as far flung locales as Japan, Guatemala, Belize and South Africa.

To introduce his photography to a wider audience while also fulfilling his life-long wish to alleviate world-wide poverty, Michael donates fifty percent of all sales to his non-profit, helpfromnyc.org. His first self-funded mission was to Kgautswane, South Africa, where he teamed with the Hippo Water Roller Project to provide devices that make carrying potable water easier for villagers.
